Zelda Corset
I love The Legend of Zelda video game series, and while Hyrule Warriors is only a side installment, it has arguably the best character designs. I am in the process of constructing a recreation of Queen Zelda's outfit from the game, and here is my finished corset!

The construction process started with a modified version of the McCall's M7339 Cupped Corset Pattern. The corset consists of three layers: a lining, a strength layer made of cotton duck canvas, and the outer poly-satin fashion layer. The strength and fashion layers were roll-pinned before flat-lining to cut down on any wrinkling in the final product.
I chose to hand-embroider flowers on two of the front side panels, using the lazy daisy stitch, as a personal touch and to add more detail and texture to an otherwise flat design. The eyelets on the front of the corset were embroidered after boning channels were sewn, but before the lining was attached to keep all work hidden on the inside. Handmade bias tape made from the same fabric as the corset's fashion layer covers the edges of the piece. The structure is supported with spiral steel bones. While this is not my first corset, I believe it to be my best.
